Suzanne and Sue with the Chamber wanted to thank Rotary for the continued support for the 2^nd Annual Kites on Ice Festival. They estimated 3500 people attended.

Laura wanted to thank the volunteers for helping with the Build a Kite Workshop during the Kites on Ice Festival. We ran out of the 400 kites by 12:20pm.

 

 

Vanya, our youth exchange student from Indonesia plays piano in The Herd Winter Drumline. Last Saturday they performed in the Buffalo Stampede Drumline Competition.

 

 

 

 

 

Buffalo Rotarian Bob Adams spoke about his ombudsman position with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). The ESGR is a Dept of Defense agency, which seeks to promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees.

 

He helps inform employers or service members about their rights and responsibilities.

 

He is there to:
✔️Advocate on behalf of the service member, their family and their employer
✔️Recognize and help the service member thank a supportive employer
✔️Inform the service member and their employer about the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA)
✔️Mediate issues that arise between the service member and their employer
